REUNION!!!!!
If any of you are out there from the WWII 835th Aviation Battalion, Army Corps of Engineers, Bob Jones and Joe Ray, and any others who wish to come will be getting together in Joe Ray's hometown, St. Louis, MO, May 1-5, 2005. To get on board, please email yrenfrew@renfrewlaw.com or comffycozzy@hotmail.com .
I am looking for anyone who may have known my step-father, SSergeant Guy O. Dixon who served in the Army Corp of Engineers in 1945-46. I know he arrived in Manila in Aug. of 1945 and ran heavy equipment either on Okinawa or near Nagasaki. He died in the 60's and unfortunately I don't know his battalion and very little else about his time in Japan. I would appreciate any info on how and/or where to search.

Edward Mzyk ATTENDED TWO OF THE st lOUIS REUNIONS THAT I CAN REMEMBER. HE SHOULD HAVE HAD THE ROSTERS OF THE TIME. I DON'T REMBER THE YEARS THAT HE WAS WITH US, BUT I WILL FIND THAT INFO WHEN WE GET TO THE FILES OF ALL OF THE RUNIONS.

IT IS SOOO GOOD TO BE FOUND BY "JONESIE"!!!! We've been looking for him for many years. Thanks to his daughter, we will be seeing each other soon. My daughter and I have the reunion bug again and would love to try to get just ONE MORE reunion together.
We've had so many through out the years. The first was in 1972 and we organized in 1974 with a roster of more than 300 men. The Honor Roll has grown many times over since those days, but there are still a few of us around. We would be happy to share what we have learned and collected over the years...history and details and photos.

I Googled for info on the 835th and found this site!
My dad, Edward Faivre served in the 835th for 4 years, North Africa & Sicily.
His nickname was "Buddy" in those days, "Flip" in later years.
Sadly, Dad died at the young age of 54 in 1975, 30 years ago this week.
He enlisted with his homwtown friend, Mike Gordon who is alive and kicking in Englewood, NJ.
I am life-long friends of Mike Jr. who is also still in Englewood, NJ.
I would love to attend your next reunion and meet some of you guys!
I also have plenty of pictures I am scanning and retouching on the Mac computer, if anyone is interested...
Best,
James Faivre
