Hello;
I just stumbled onto your site, I have been looking for info on the 835th for years. I believe that my Step Father served in the 835th during WWII. His name was
Chrales Franklin Talley

He enlisted on 1 Sep 1942
Chreles (Chuck) Talley passed away 9 Dec 2001 Death - Avondale, Colorado

Charles F Talley
TEC 5 US ARMY WORLD WAR II
5 Sep 1920 Birth Day
15 Sep 1942 Service Start
13 Dec 2001 Burial
Ft. Logan National Cemetery
4400 West Kenyon Avenue Denver, CO 80236

I Have been writing a book on the Military history of my family and would like to include a section on my step father. I remeber him telling me about training in the desert of California, and going to Cairo Eygypt, (I have a banner made in Cairo that is emblazoned with the 835th). He described the B-24s that returned to the Benghazi Libya airfield after thee Ploesti raid. He talked some about his service in Naples. Unfortunately I was only a small boy and didn't take notes. I would like to know anything about the unit or induviduals that your readers could provide. Also, I would like to have a complete roster; the one availble seems to go only to the D's.
